Who is picking up a new trailer?

Was at my dealer today for service and saw 3 families picking up new trailers, it was exciting to watch. I heard someone say they are up to 20 picking this weekend, going to be lots of new trailers on the road and this is just one dealer. So who is getting a new trailer and when?

Unhappy

Our Outback Terrain 250TRS is on order since the beginning of the month. Keystone rep told me it would be coming in as a 2015 model. Waiting for a call back on approx ship date. Hoping to have it by Memorial Day but it's going to be close. Most likely won't happen.

I drove east from MSP into central Wisconsin a week ago and counted at least a dozen new RVs headed west.

Our 31BHPR is on order, scheduled to come off the line the last week of April. Then it's a waiting game until it can make the trek from IN to MN. We're hoping for the first week of May. Snow here is gone and temps in the 60s have a serious case of camping fever setting in...

I'd be really excited if our unit came as a 2015 model year.

Picking up our 2014 Hideout 28RLDS soon!-- in the next 2 weeks. It has been patiently spending winter at the dealer, and we have been waiting not so patiently at home for winter to end. Like many here, looking forward to that first outing! Good luck all!

Ok, so here's the thing.

We traded our '13 Forest River Windjammer in for a '14 Montana High Country at a show on March 15th. Problem is we can't get to the Windjammer. It's in locked storage, and there's still a foot of snow in the way.

So we'll be picking up the Montana……………..

Picked up our Passport 2510rb on Tuesday. Maiden voyage was a one nighter on Thursday. This is our first travel trailer; we traded our pop-up. So far so good. Love the trailer.

New rigs

Just remember to check tire air pressure and loose lug nuts before you go on your trip.

Sometimes new owners will overlook the importance of checking the tires on their new rigs. Tire history is super important. RV trailers are moved from the manufacturer to the dealers on their own tires. Dealers are not often very tire savvy. They wont check the tire pressures. New owners need to put tire pressures on the top of their list of things to do before their new trailer leaves the dealers location. Unlike your car, truck, van or SUV, trailer tires may have very little load capacity reserves. If aired properly they have plenty until you load them for the road. If not aired properly when they are checked at the dealer location they may have come from the factory that way. If so they may already be damaged. That damage may be undetectable but it’s there. It’s cumulative and can severely shorten the life expectancy of your original tires.

Becoming trailer tire savvy will be one of the most important things you will do to have enjoyable, uninterrupted camping trips.

Good luck with your new rigs and have a great time camping with them.

Looking at a Cougar 313rli or 327res, just have to figure out how to make it fit under the rv awning we built for the passport.... some of you saw that coming when we got the new truck, right?

Just picked up our Bullet 272BHS yesterday! 40+ mph wind gusts 20-25 MPH steady wind made for an interesting first tow experience with the new rig on the open highway. Got off and went the back roads home felt much more comfortable now we are camping in our back yard for the weekend and loving it!
