Cougar 5th wheel TV coax wiring???

Could somebody please explain how Keystone wires the Cougar 5th wheel TV coax base plates behind the LCD TV in the living room area? It has the one base plate, the Winegard with amplifier, coax connection & 12 volt plug. The other coax base plate directly below it has 2 coax connections on it with a short coax pigtail cable going from one connector to the other. I also have a coax base plate connection in the bedroom for a 2nd TV. On the outside of the 5th wheel it has a coax connection that says satellite Prepped. When I hook a cable TV feed up outside everything works fine, TV in living room and TV in bedroom using their own tuners. If I run the feed from our sat. dish to the outside connection, how do I wire the coax for the sat. receiver in the living room? Thanks for the help. I didn't receive any information when we took delivery other than the standard Winegard manual.

Hi,
If you do a search on this site you will see a title that states something to the fact. Another thread on Satellite TV. I asked the same questions. From what I found out. The label should read "CABLE TV" not "Satellite TV". The Winegard system prevents a small electrical charge from the satellite receiver to reach the Sat antenna in order to make the system work.

In order to make the Satellite system work you will need to install a separate RG-6 Cable and connector for the antenna. I have done this work on my Cougar last week and we took the unit out this weekend with every thing working great.

I have a 318SAB and the entertainment center is along the curb side slide.
How I install my system was to removed the radio/DVD player in the cabinet, then drill a 7/16 hole in the middle shelf for the cable to run to the floor. I also used the opening in the wall to route the cable to the top opening for the TV cables and then connect it to the receiver. You will then need to drill another opening in the floor and fasten a RV F style connector to this opening for the cables to be attached to each other. Make it weather tight.
The reason I placed this in the floor is; it is out of site and from the weather regardless if we are camping or pulling the unit.
Good luck.
Jim
