Napoleon makes some quality grills...I looked at their line years back when I bought a Lynx home grill (have since sold that $$$$ and went to a Ceramic cooker) and the Napoleons are certainly nice. I really like the storage and transport features of that one for an RV grill...

Yeah a little more pricey, but also a 10 year warranty on it. Plus right now you can pick it up at Canadian Tire(not much help for you guys on the other side of the boarder) for 299.99 CAN. So for the extra 100 or so I'd galdly pay for the quality and warranty of the Napoleon

Guess I'm heading to Crappy tire on the way home. That looks like a nice unit and if it fits the pass through, I'm getting it.

Not sure how I missed it as I get the flyer on my phone every week. Must have been more concerned about fishing (caught Sturgeon last Saturday).

And I'm sure I've answered this before, but yeah. I've got a brother Doug. No Bob though. Doug was in High School/University when Bob & Doug were famous.

Did you end up buying the grill??? I have mine, but sadly still haven't had a chance to use it yet. Just curious how you are liking it.

X-Treme, do you run this off a separate HP tank or is there a low pressure regulator to run off the TT LP tanks?

Use the Aussie as well; came with our TT. Fortunately our bumper mount already swings around 90 degrees. It works really well except for the "air gap" ventilation in the back. Constantly "blew out" the fire except when on high. Quick solution that worked for me was to "cut open" a 12-pack Coke carton, lay it flat, and wrapped it in HD tin-foil. Once I tore the flaps off one end of the carton it was a perfect fit. Stuck this behind the Aussie, folded over and under. Worked great. Used it all weekend. Going to make a more permanent solution before heading out again in a couple weeks.

No. They were out of stock and as I was wandering I found a replacement grill that looked big enough to fit my old BBQ. It was on clearance so I picked it up, attacked it with a cut off wheel and made it fit. Tried that once for burgers and steak and it seemed to work a lot better than what came with my grill so I'm holding off for now.

May change my mind again, but for now my steak doesn't come out fried.

I run it exactly as shown. I tote around a spare 20 pounder. Our Alpine has a fair amount of storage, so lotsa room.

I didn't see the brand I use mentioned so...

http://www.broilkingbbq.com/grills/p...orta-chef.html

The unit's legs detach and store with a cheesy strap that also doubles as a carrying handle. It's OK but I just use an old duffel bag and keep other BBQ related stuff in it. The grill's control valve allows for very low cooking temps and with a drip/water pan the grill can be used as a water smoker. It's only big enough for six burgers but has the BTUs to cook them normally. IDK what the cost today but in about 1995 I paid about $100 for mine.

What portable BBQ do people have

I use a Camp Chef 3 burner also. I have a cast iron griddle that covers 2 burners, and is excellent for cooking anything. I also have the BBQ box that covers one burner. I took it one step further and bought the Camp Chef oven with two burners on top. It isn't real good for "precision" baking, but it's great for garlic bread or desserts. I carry an extra 20# bottle and have a "tree", so I can use the propane lantern too.

Having been a Weber charcoal guy for years, we bought a Weber Baby Q for camp use. We now have the larger one (200?) with their stand for home use and the Baby Q for travel. The best thing about Weber is they have engineered the product so that fire/flames will not propagate with the lid down.

The Baby Q works very well for two and is actually adequate for four. If yours doesn't come with the folding side shelves, I highly recommend you option them. Handy as heck when cooking.

Frankly, I wouldn't buy anything else for the trailer for grilling. I will take my Cookshack smoker for longer trips, though. Nothing does ribs, brisket or tri tip roasts better.

We used the Costco Nexgrill all last winter and found it was not hot enough even with two burners. Last week we bought a Weber Q2000 with a collapsible stand. There is no comparison! Even with only one burner it out performs the old one, hands down. It also fits easily in our pass through storage bay.

We use the BabyQ 1000. We never went for small shelf's on the end. They take up more room to store and I always put the BBQ on the pickup tailgate.

You do have to be careful of how big your steaks are.

Looks like a brand new grill. The optional shelves fold over the grill and the lid closes on them, so they don't take up any additional storage room.

If I ate steaks that big, I wouldn't have room for vegetables...which might not necessarily be a negative.

With a steak like that I would have thought you were a Cummins guy.

2013 Brinkmann Charcoal Grill Model # 810-1001-S for $9.99.

Purchased at Home Depot during last year's end of the season deals.

Light weight. Simple to store, use and maintain. Still going strong.
