Installing a towel bar question....
We just purchased a new Hideout 28BHSWE. I want to install a towel rack and toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom. Any suggestions on the best place and way to do this? I'd like to get the screws into the framing and not just the wall. Are there any diagrams showing the framing? Thanks in advance...

Rather than drilling holes into the walls, some members use a "free-standing" TP dispenser and are pleased with the results. Others have used 3M products and these have proven to work quite well. Hooks or racks on the door rather than on the wall are another option.
Unfortunately, there are no schematics available for the framing, electrical or plumbing in any Keystone product.

RV suppliers sell TP holders that have the option to stick on a surface. I actually mounted mine on the inside surface of the vanity door. It's out of the way of knees, and easily reached from the toilet.

I mounted two towel bars behind the toilet on that wall. they are around 24-28" apart(can't remember that right now). The toilet paper roll is one the freestanding holders in the brushed nickel finish.
I used the wall expander/ing fittings for screws to make sure it was locked in good to wall panel. Never hit a stud but they have held up to two towels(wet & dry) each for close to 4 years now.

We bought one of those expandable shower rods and put it above the toilet. No drilling needed. My GF bought a nice wicker basket that sits on the counter and we keep the tp in it.

I put a TP holder next to the toilet into a stud. I got the type that has a single connection point (2 vertical screws) and a loop-bar to hold the TP roll. I used a similar type part for a towel rack on the outside wall next to the sink. This way you have two screws into a stud and not one screw just through the wall and not into a stud. They work and look nice.

When I put anything into or on to any wall in my TT, I use those screw in plastic mounts (not the push in type ) and then screw into them.

The walls are pretty thin. You should be able to push on the wall to find a stud if you don't want to use any of the alternative options already mentioned. Our TP just sits on the counter top or in the cubby below the counter top.

We use a paper towel roll holder for our toilet paper (two or three rolls can be put on at once). It tucks right in the corner and never has to be moved. We use two 5-lb-weight Command Hooks for towels and we have an over-the-door 24-shoe slot for "stuff" on the inside of the bathroom door and on the outer bathroom door have hung a coat hanger - no holes in camper walls for us!

Blueswede,
Look at the pic below to see how I installed the TP holder. We use 3M Command towel hooks and also a portable/collapsible towel rack for drying them.
Good luck!

Not sure what type of vanity you have, as I have a Sprinter- but this is what we did and it works beautifully! 1 is used for TP and the other for a hand towel. I got the holders at the dollar store. They have an adhesive backing as well as 2 tiny screws. We did screw them in to the actual vanity, and have had no problems. Great, easy and inexpensive fix.
