Difference CRE3000 vs. LRE4100
Looking at a Montana 3791RD. Legacy package upgrades the suspension. Is it worthwhile? Safer? Easier to tow?

I believe it has longer travel which should make for a softer ride.

Personally, I would always upgrade for particular items when available, suspension is one of them batteries, another, tires another. Appliances, not necessarily, full body paint, never, you get the idea.

Given the poor condition of the roads in different states, I would definitely upgrade the suspension. If the uograde did not include a wetbolt kit with heavy duty shackles and bronze bushings, I would opt to install the kit or have it installed. My nylon bushings were shot just after ~3,000 miles. The Mor/ryde kit for the stock CRE/3000 suspension that came with my trailer, comprised of Dexter parts, was only $88...nothing in the grand scheme of things within the RV world.

Ours came with the stock CRE3000 and as others have noted the stock nylon bushings were shot after the 1st year, I upgraded to MorRyde wet bolts and XFACTOR cross members and have not regretted it the trailer is more stable and no banging and clunking when turning
