Fireplace in Travel Trailer
Has anyone ever installed a electric fireplace in their travel trailer?

Keystone installed one in ours, built in right from the factory.
Kidding aside, what are you asking? I would think *some* layouts that don't have them but have a lot of cabinet space could be changed by a good woodworker with time on their hands, but you also need to get significant power to them. They draw a pretty good amount of current so you'll need an open breaker on your AC panel to add one.

You may also have to change your shore power to 50A from 30 if that's what you have now. I have yet to see any units with a fireplace have 30A service.

While that is true, we have run our fireplace on 30A service where that was all that was available. There were times when the water heater (on electric), microwave, TV and Keurig were also operating. The manufacturers may only install the fireplace in a 50A trailer, but 30A service seems to be sufficient power.
We found the fireplace to keep our SRX living space warm when the OAT was above 40F (garage, man door closed). Any cooler and we would close the doors to the bedroom and bathroom to isolate the kitchen/couch area. Another drop of 10-15 degrees outside, and the furnace was required.
The fireplace does save propane. We would run the furnace only in the mornings after awakening to warm the place up then run the fireplace for the remainder of the day, if necessary. We generally don't like the heater on at night, so for those really chilly nights we would leave the fireplace on with the picture flames dimmed. A fireplace is a worthwhile installation, particularly if it has a timer and a selected temp control.

A 30 amp service would be fine. Your 13,500BTU A/C draws about 13AMPS, the same as the average electric fireplace. So unless your gonna run the A/C and heater at the same time, 30 AMP will work with the same limitations as when you run the A/C.

We put one in under the entertainment center. Plug into the same outlet that the tv uses. Never had any issues.

Looks Good, Like it!
Just thinking as far as trim, newer rigs have these fireplaces trimmed in either red brick or stone. Definitely better than just a storage area with two doors on the front

That's just about how we did ours. I had to build a small platform for the fireplace to sit on. Used the existing shelf to cover up the bottom and then stained some 1 x 1's to match and used them for trim. Looks like it was meant to be there.

Our new Cougar 5th wheel came with one but it sucks for roasting marshmallows! However it's nice to look at and it does heat fairly well.
