Riverbend's the place to be!

Riverbend

Cougarfamily

Is Riverbend the big RV park on the river just before you get into S Fork coming from Pagosa? We usually spend 2-3 mos. in Pagosa but have stayed in a condo - never payed much attention to the RV locations. We go to/thru S. Fork a lot. Bought a new RV this year and was thinking about staying somewhere around there instead.

Watt we only put the state stickers on the states we at least stay one night in ,our neighbor puts them on all the states he goes thru,I could do that and fill it up because I used to drive a truck and have drove thru all the states at one time or the other .Just saying out loud.

Watt, actually the debates on this site are generally more interesting than the usual stuff we read. I hope you took my comment in a good way, meaning that some of us actually DO look at the maps of other members to see where they've been. And, by the way, I now learned that the maps represent places that members have actually camped rather than just driven through towing the RV. Is this how you see it? I tried downloading one of the maps, but it appeared to be a site that wanted email info and sort of a scam so I stayed away from it.

Notanlines, I understood your question, in fact my DW asked the same question when we filled in the states. We decided if we are on a "camping" trip and stay in a state then we fill it in. Once we took credit for a KOA camping cabin when the trailer was in the shop for a minor repair. It's just our way of doing it...watt

Yes, it is the last one that I remember before you hit South Fork. It is a few miles to the west. There is another a few miles farther west, called Fun Valley, that is a lot bigger and to me, way to crowded looking. One camper right on top of another. At least to us, Riverbend didn't seem so cramped.

I booked a weekend in April and Memorial Day weekend. That's the furthest out I can go with CO state parks right now.

Hey sourdough...you may look into Sportsman's RV park up near Williams Creek Lake. Go past the condos by the airport, up there a few miles. We used to elk hunt up there. Never stayed at their RV park but plan to.
Anyway...we are going to the spring Bristol NASCAR race, then to Richmond VA after that. Maybe back to Smokey Mtns as well, on the same trip. Maybe out west in the early fall.

We've already booked a week at Myrtle Beach State park, the first week in June. They only had 3 full hook up sites available...wow!! I'm also looking at Kiptopeke, VA state park in July for a week. I was also thinking of going to Bristol to see a NHRA drag race.
