I've never weighed it but it's just under 5000# empty. I'd guess it's about 6500# tops, maybe less, we rarely tow with anything in the tanks

Cool tundra

My Tundra 5.7 is rated to tow 10,000 lbs. My Laredo 291TG max is 8200 lbs.
I have added the Air Lift 5000 air bags to my suspension. Tows just as nice as my old 7200lb Frontier.

Glad to hear you're re-evaluating. Our 32' is a little too much for our 1500 but we'll lose 50% by trading down so we're learning to live with it. We also looked only at weights when buying. If towing with a half ton, length is a real concern, particularly with ultra light, long trailers.
If I could do it again I would keep it to 25'.
Happy shopping!

Good info. Looks like my Passport 238ML which is a few inches shorter than 25' is what I need to stick with. At least until I can convince the DW to consider a 2500 truck when we want to upgrade the TT.

When you get ready to upgrade your truck don't fix yourself on the 2500. I just did that. Went from my 1500 to a HD 2500. Didn't want either a 2500 or 3500 because they ride is just so rough (bad back). 3500's were about the same price (depending on trim) but went with the 2500 thinking I wante the better ride?. Now, after 5,000mi on the truck I think I should have just went with the 3500. I don't keep the tires at 80psi and the ride is much better. The 3500 would have been the same plus I would have picked up a lot of towing and payload capacity. Just something to think about when the time comes.

Imo

I would consider smaller if u don't plan to upgrade, we just did what you are planning to do ( not the same truck or trailer but the same situation basically , it towed but not a comfortable situation ) and we had to upgrade or be nervous and uncomfortable when traveling. Bigger is inviting but it has it's issues.... Love our smaller camper (19 Hideout FLB) for me and my wife. My grand kids (2) can fit fine also. Good luck deciding.
