Self leveling jacks Query

We are searching for a new camper and
The campers we are looking at have :

a) electric fireplace

b) 4 point self leveling jack system

Both of these features are new to us

Would appreciate any input on these
and your opinions of how good they work

Thanks

Hawk

I have the hydraulic 6 point leveling system and an electric fireplace in my unit. This is my first unit with either.

You did not say if it is the hydraulic or electric leveling system.

As for mine, I love the leveling system. It makes for a quick and easy set-up. It takes almost all of the movement out of the unit. I no longer have to back in to almost where I want to be, get out a level and check for side to side level, get out leveling blocks, back on to blocks, double check level, and then unhook and check for front to back level and play with the jack until I get it right. With the level up system, I back in to where I want, chock the wheels and unhook. I then throw some jack pads down (not mandatory) and push the button. DONE!

I also enjoy the electric fireplace. It is works well for taking the chill out of the air in the morning without firing up the furnace. It is much quieter than the furnace and the DW likes to sleep in some days. It also seems to be a more constant heat than the furnace. It does not heat the whole unit only the main living area.

lippert 6 point leveling system

swore i woulld never get an automatic leveling system....now i would never get a trailer without one. here are some websites: https://www.google.com/search?q=auto...x-a&channel=sb 4 or 6 legs, i'd probably get the 6 if the trailer is over 30 feet in length.

as for fireplaces, IT IS A REQUIREMENT as far as I am concerned. It takes to cool out of the air on those cool nights and early mornings and doesn't cost you anything if you are in a campground.

Ditto on what the others have said. As far as 4 or 6 point goes, Jayco used to use 4 point while most others used 6 point. Most of the class A's also used the 4 point, which was Jayco's answer to why they only needed it as well. This year they finally went to the 6 point system. I cannot tell you if it was due to keeping up with the Jones' for sales purposes or if they found an actual need for the 6 point over the 4. IMO, I like the extra set of legs supporting the frame.

As for electric vs hydraulic, you will get the sales pitch of pros and cons from which ever the dealer has on their lot. I have the hydraulic since that is what the RV I wanted came with. The electric is slower, but IMO not that big of a deal, it's still faster than backing in, checking level, pulling forward and getting out boards or leveling blocks and re-backing.......

The fireplace......we LOVE ours, it does take the chill off, but also adds a comforting/relaxing effect

We don't have the self levellers....Wish we did. Something to save up for.
We LOVE our fireplace...initially thought it was kind of gimmicky!! Definitely takes the chill off, and why use propane when you're already paying for hydro.

We have the 4 point levelers. At first it was a PIA. But I think I have it figured out now. Here is a link:

We haven't used the "fireplace" yet but probably will next month. My first thought was that it's pretty cheesy. But its sounding better the more I think about it.

The leveling system is super easy I was kinda on the fence about it in the beginning but now I love it. and the fireplace is nice too. I like it a bit cooler when I sleep then when I'm awake and so does DW. Im an early riser and she sleeps in so I turn it on and it puts out lots of heat and i feel comfortable in the living room and with the doors closed she is still nice and cool in the bedroom. it could heat up the whole camper if the doors were open and provides a lot of heat for its size.
