Quick pin question

Last year I damaged one of my quick pins for the front legs. I have an opportunity to purchase a set of quick pins for a reasonable price. The description states that they will fit 2-1/4" legs and the pins are 3/8".
My 5th wheel is stored an hour away from my home. Not easily accessible.
Is 2.25" with 3/8 pins a standard size?

We have a Laredo 312RE.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. When I did a search it seemed to be quite common.

3/8" is the "standard size" pin. There are some "heavy duty" landing gear that use 7/16" and some of the older Stromberg/Carlson legs used 5/16".

The ones on my Cougar are 3/8" so yours should be the same ???? Even if they aren't, if the holes are a bit too small, an afternoon beer and a 3/8" drill bit would fix that problem in a hurry

I'd guess the ones you found will work, but realize that they only cost about $15 each, so depending on what's damaged and the price of what you found, you may have to decide if it's a good buy, an OK buy or ?????

I bent the pin on one because I didn't have it in all the way when I set all the weight on it. In Canada they're typically much more than $15.00 each. I found a set on Amazon Canada for $33.00 Canadian. A good price I think. I just placed the order. I will keep the old set as spares. Thanks.

That's not a bad price. I keep forgetting you're in Canada, and yup, Canadian retailers seem to be "quite proud" of what they sell and charge accordingly..... The pins are easy to disassemble and repair, so you'll have a good spare set when you're done

I will try to straighten it when I get the new set. I thought it may weaken it a little so it wouldn't hurt to have spares.
Yes I feel ill sometimes when checking prices on the internet between Canada & the U.S. Our weak currency doesn't help either. New trailers have gotten much more expensive here in the last year or so.

Hey Gramps

I'm heading home from Florida on Monday. I found a set at Rural King for $21 US. So I'm going to grab a set. I have one that sticks a fair bit on my '14 329RE .

Was curious what you paid ?

Bill

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. Haven't been on this site for a couple of days. I paid $33.29 + tax on Amazon Canada. The day after I bought them they went up to $52.00. Sounds like you got a good deal.
Are you sure you want to come back? It's still winter here. Not sure when it's going to warm up.
Have a safe trip.
