Interesting problem now when the AC turns on

Just curious but here is some strange behavior i noticed this weekend camping.

Bell box and tv plugged into an outlet and tv watching like normal. AC kicks in and my bell box and tv reboot .. almost like the outlet looses power. Anyone know what this can be ?

I only own the trailed for another couple weeks but would like to see if i should bring this to the dealers attention.

This sounds like a severe voltage drop when the A/C compressor starts up. If you have a volt meter, watch the voltage when the A/C starts and see if it drops below 108 (120 volts + or minus 10% = 132 to 108). A lot of modern electronics have low voltage shutdown features to self protect themselves. If the power goes too low, they shutoff until the power returns to acceptable levels.

If might just be the park power where you are. A lot of trailers + hot weather + a lot of A/c running = low voltage at a lot of older parks.

Does sound like a voltage thing but all areas do not have 120 volts, some have 110 volts and need to be +/- 5% at the meter. Some campgrounds run a long distence from the meter. Has it happened before? Also, in the hot weather sometime you need to run the water heater on gas to help out...

You need a small ups on the electronics. The surge from the compressor starting is pulling the ac voltage down low / long enough to reboot the electronics. I would start with the smallest battery backup / ups you can find.
I had similar problems with my blueray on my old TT, ended up running the tv and blueray off a 250 watt inverter 100% of the time plugged into the lighter socket by the tv outlet. The pair wasn't 100 watts - and no more surge problems.
You may find the microwave causes similar problems as well.

A small ups might be a grand idea. I will bring one of those units next time and try that .. I should be running one anyway on my electronics.

Cheap enough and should take care of those momentary drops.
