Smile Jack Placement / Hitched or Not

I am getting ready to lube the bearings (yes i am going to use the ez-lube fittings) and would like to know about jack placement and if I should have the trailer hitched to the truck.

I have searched the forums and found nothing. Looked at other sites and see where some recommend having the trailer hitched so as not to place all the stress on on leg.

I plan on lifting just enough to spin the wheel while adding grease. One wheel at a time.

So what do you more experienced folks have to say? Where do I place the jack? I am thinking on the frame close to the spring mount.

And should I hitch the trailer and raise the support legs so as not to stress the one on the opposite side?

Appreciate your help as always. This forum is a great place to get help.
