Bullet Black Tank Flush?

Hello!
We are getting close to making a choice for our first TT. Down to Passport 2810 or Bullet 272BHS.
I cannot find anything about a black tank flush on the Bullet. So, I'm assuming they do not come with one installed.

My question: Has anyone had a black tank flush installed on a Bullet? If so, is there a brand you recommend or just take what the dealer offers (if they even can install one)?

Thanks!

Flush

Hello, I don't own that model, but when you search dealer inventories, they advertise them having a black tank flush. I would double check, but I would be really surprised if a new trailer didn't come with one.

My bullet premier has one and I thought all bullets did. Did you look on the lot or just online?

Thanks!
I double-checked the brochure again and they list the black tank flush as standard. Totally missed it the 4 times I checked for it!

I did think it was odd a new trailer didn't come with one. Glad this newbie just can't read!

Not having a black tank flush may not be a bad thing. Quite a number of our members have had issues with it and often end up with water flowing everywhere except where it is supposed to go - into the black tank. The poor quality of the anti-siphon/check valve seems to be the culprit and folks have either removed it all together or replaced it with a brass fitting.

It wasn't that long ago when there wasn't any such thing as a black tank flush and people got along quite well without it. After dumping, keep the tank partially filled with plenty of fresh water along with some detergent and water softener and you should be fine.

The brochure for the 2013 Bullets said equipped with black tank flush. However, ours did not come equipped that way. They cover the a$$ in the fine print. I would verify with the dealer before you order.

I bought one of these

X2 for the Flush King. The reverse flush works very well...

I'm not absolutely certain about this, but if you go to Keystone.com and pull up the BULLET, you'll see that it is an "standard build" trailer and there is no mention of a black tank flush in the standard or optional equipment listings. If you go to the "PREMIER by Bullet" it is listed as a "Select build" trailer and you'll find that there is a black tank flush listed as "standard equipment" in the PREMIER PACKAGE (which is an upgrade package to the "PREMIER by Bullet" line).

If you're considering the BULLET 272BHS, it is a "standard build" RV and is not a Premier model. I'd say that from the information on the Keystone website, it does not have a black tank flush. I believe you will also find more "standard upgrade items" on the Passport which is also a "Select build" RV.

It is unrealistic to expect all the added cost components on a "standard build" RV that are found on a "select build" RV which costs thousands more.

It's kind of like comparing a Lincoln to an LTD (in the old days)..... The more you pay the fancier it gets......

The current list of "standards and options" on the website if for the 2015 model RV's. Can't say what was (or wasn't) included in the 2014 or previous year models. Things change from day to day at Keystone, certainly they change from year to year LOL

Thanks everyone!
We will be sure to double-check and look into the one suggested if it doesn't. It's kind of a peace of mind option for DH.

I would not use a BTF as a deal breaker if you otherwise love an RV.
While I love ours, I just replaced the anti-siphon valve and cleaned everything in the bathroom with bleach. I could live without it.
If you have never had it, you'll get along fine.

Our new 2014 Bullet 251 RBS does not have it. I've used the Flush King for a few years...

Bought our 2014 272 in February - it DOES have the black tank flush, it's just to the right of the back entry door to the bathroom, and it works great. Our only complaint is the grey tank - get a portable if you're headed where there are not full hook-ups.

We just picked up our 2015 Bullet 251RBS on Monday 7/28/14 and it has a black tank flush. There was some discussion with the dealer if it had one or not and if not how much it would cost to get one installed. Then they found out that ours (which was in transit) had one, as ALL 2015 Bullets (even the non Premier) have them.

They got rid of the swivel TV's, much to my disappointment, but at least they installed the BTF. And they drilled the access hole so we can install an extra TV in the bedroom and plug it into the plug/antenna that the living room TV uses.

They also did not include a stove exhaust, but say the room exhaust right near will do the trick, as will the hood vent (which just vents to itself.) We'll see.

I removed the useless range hood and replaced it with the light from the front storage.

Replaced Range Hood?

Dave --

You replaced the range hood with the light from the storage compartment? Did you really need more light? My TT seems so bright that you could perform surgery in it if you had to. I had three lights on last night and It really was too much. Reached up to shut one off (forgot there's a wall switch, too) and wow was it hot! Almost hot enough to burn my hand. I wonder if I left those on for very long if something would melt.

I kind of like having a light in the "cellar."

Think I will be purchasing a floor fan and leaving the door open when I cook, with the fan facing the door. My rolls would be fine but my homemade pizza might need the extra air movement out of the camper. I haven't used the oven yet -- hope it gets quite hot as we can't do without our pizza!

I put the light there to cover the hole. The way it is mounted it doesn't shine right in your eyes like the other very bright under cabinet lighting. I've got 4w and 7w landscape bulbs to replace the original bright bulbs where necessary. We hardly use any of the factory lighting...
