Power cord system

Hello
Alpine 2022. The power cord retracting system keeps clicking and doing the pulse roll out. We rolled it out all the way and slowly retracted the cord, once completely rolled in the system kept clicking and trying to roll it back out.
We rolled it out completely twice but it still keeps doing it.
How can we fix this?

Sounds like a broken gear box. We never have that problem because we don't have a reel to wind up the shore cord.

Could be a broken gear like stated. Mine won't wind unless I help feed it while it's running. I also have to guide it so it winds in tight to itself or it won't fit.

I'm pretty sure the reel motor is supplied by the 12V system, so you might want to make sure the battery is in good shape, and that the 12V connections from the reel to the battery system are tight and not corroded. Most likely a broken gear like others suggested, but thought I would throw this out also
