If you have the Dometic digital thermostat set to HIGH or to LOW, it should remain on that set speed. If you have the thermostat set to AUTO the A/C will run on HIGH until it reaches 4 degrees from the thermostat setting, then it will change to LOW. It will remain on LOW until it either reaches the thermostat setting or until the temperature rises to 4 degrees above the setting and it will then change back to HIGH.

It should "change from HIGH to LOW" and possibly change back, depending on the temperature at the thermostat. However, if it is "constantly changing" you may have a faulty thermostat.

Set the fan switch to either HIGH or to LOW and see if that fixes your "fan changing problem" If it does, then put it back to AUTO. If it starts changing "back and forth" from HIGH to LOW and LOW to HIGH at a rapid rate, the thermostat is faulty.

When in AUTO, ours usually starts on HIGH, will run there until it gets "close to the setting" and then change to LOW. It will shut off when it reaches the thermostat setting. Then, when things warm up, it will turn on in LOW, and if the temperature comes down, it will shut off, but if it is too "hot" and the temperature keeps rising, the A/C will change to HIGH and run there until it cools off to that 4 degrees again. Then it will change to LOW.

I hope this doesn't confuse you more than you were before you started LOL
