2014 Cougar High Country 327res
Has anyone had issues with screws braking that hold the covering around the kingpin. The covering is sagging due to this issue. Looks like the factory does not have many cross members under the forward area to fasten this material too.

Hi b52bomber, welcome to the forum. Some other members have had this issue too, including me. Do a search for "sagging front cover" and you will find a thread on this issue.

I removed all the screws one at a time (and the loose ones) and put Loctite on them. Haven't backed out now in several months and I added some to boot.

Thanks. Most of my screws are broke off in the steel. There is not much room to even look up in there. I would like to remove the broken screws and use the same holes maybe larger screws. What a poor design.

b52bomber, not really a poor design, perhaps it was put together on a Friday or even a Monday . Nothing is going to stay well when the human factor fails. I don't think I meant it to sound like that, hmmmm. I have faith in our work force, just not when they are coming back from the weekend or looking for the weekend to get away
You have to think about the thousands that have had no problem and the few we read about that have.

Just looked at our 2014 327res and sure enough our screws in the same area are all the same way as your - broken. Only one is still into the steel. How did it go fixing it?

camping world did the warranty on the broken screws. The techs broke more screws off.so now my unit has caulked holes with extra broken screws. I emailed Keystone and never got a response. Camping world needs to hire some real techs with training. Keystone is showing they are not customer oriented. Very bad because i will remember that when it comes to buying a Keystone Unit. As of today i am waiting for Keystone to make a move to solve it.

When did you email Keystone? It usually takes a couple of weeks to get a response. And, if the product manager does the right thing, he'll contact the Camping World location, ask the service manager his side of the story and then get with engineering to find a workable solution. That doesn't happen overnight. To you, "your RV" is the most important, but to the supervision at Keystone, keeping a multimillion dollar production line running and making a profit for the investors is a bigger priority. They are concerned with customer satisfaction, but it's not their only concern.
I guess I'm saying that a few broken screws, as important as they are to you, probably aren't an earth shattering, world ending issue at Keystone.
Give Keystone time, I'm sure they will get with you when they have answers.
How long has it been since you emailed Keystone?

Did you send the email through Keystone's web site?
If not, I would suggest going here, http://www.keystonerv.com/customer-service, send your message through their system.
I have sent 2 emails through their web site customer service system as above and received answers within 2 - 3 business days each time.
I just sent an message last Sunday and had a response in my in box on Tuesday.
Just saying.

Our 313rli has the same issue, still debating if we want to try to fix it or take it to the dealer to repair.

Being sarcastic .... I hope they don't mail you a package with new longer screws. Good luck, I was in the same boat, I choose to repair my own.
