Palm Springs/Indio

We're visiting friends in the Indio area in January and are trying to find a park for a few days. We don't golf and don't need sponsored/organized activities and "amenities". Just a fairly quiet park that is dog-friendly that can accommodate a 37 footer.

Any recommendations from personal experience?

Make sure you check out Joshua Tree while you are there.
