Replacing seal - bulb type on slider

Well a couple of weeks ago I noticed that the seal on the slider itself was cracked and broke on the top side. Figured it is time before the rains start (wait a minute I live in Southern California, there is no rain). Actually it really surprised me as it was quite easy. I slide the old one out, right into the trash, and slide the new one in. There are two screws, one at each end, that go threw the bulb seal, they need to be removed first. I added Areospace 303 to the heavy bottom of the bulb type seal to help make is slide easier and it worked. Saved $350.00 less $50.00 cost of the new seal. Took less than 20 minutes for both sides.

Thanks! I'll be doing the same job very soon. My seal is also showing some cracks along the top edge.

I just found a split in one of mine and will replace it when we get south in two weeks. Did you get it online or in a store? I also have to replace the bottom seal wiper on my bed slide. Just trying to figure out the correct replacement by looking at pics on the Trekwood site.

Williston324 - yes, I ordered it from Trekwood. They at least have everything that goes with my 5ver. I could not find it anywhere else. Dealer had it at a dollar more per foot. I was very happy with their service. If your seal looks like mine there was not a real picture on the website, but a drawing and it was called bulb seal.
