Safety glass in rear broke?

I have a 2011 Alpine and the right rear glass apparently was hit by a rock. It's still in tack, but looks like a huge spider web. I'm scared to pull the trailer fearing it might crumble. Has anyone ever changed any glass on an RV. Is this something I can do or does a dealer need to do this. I'm pretty handy and do all my own maintenance. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Broken window

Sorry for your mishap. My brother lost the rear bay window in his Montana and just call a reputable glass company and it was replaced in one day. Sorry for your mishap.

Sandy -

We had a "mishap" in one of our side windows and the glass shattered - like yours.
I taped it up and finished the short trip home, removed the glass in its frame and took it to a local glass shop. Because it was thermo pane, they needed to send it away to have the glass inserted. Got it back in about a week and I installed the glass/frame.

You can do this easily yourself. Remove all the screws, take the frame/glass into a glass shop, bring the frame with new glass back home, clean off the old caulking and install. The glass shop gave me enough butyl tape to seal the frame against the side wall opening. Hand-tighten the screws in a criss-cross manner - just enough so the tape starts to ooze out of the frame.
