Default Cleaning roof

What is the best stuff to clean the roof?

Dawn dish soap works really well.

I use dawn with a splash or 2 of bleach

I used borax in water....worked well to wash the roof. I thought I read somewhere Dawn had some pertroleum based ingred,

I have been using a combination of dawn and purple zep for years with no problems. Occasionally I add some bleach when mildew is a problem. The trick is to give the roof a good cleaning a couple times per year and more often if parked under trees.
I found that the side walls stay a lot cleaner if the roof and gutters are cleaned regularly. I avoid wasting $ on high priced treatment products as in my opinion are not necessary.

What is purple zep?Is it anything like purple power cleaner?
